Ok so I have a few comments about these new pixs. Why is the buddha dressed with a yellow scarf? Which one was your boat on the M.River the big one behind you or the little blue craft at your feet? Neither seem big enough for James’ height and comfort. The bridge crossing immediately reminded me of the “Robin Hood Men in tights” film that we love so much – yes Johanna you know the song I am thinking about. LOL What on earth was he catching for his dinner under that rock? Is it silly to wonder how many orange outfits the monks own that they can hang them out to dry? I could go on forever about these fascinating pixs you submit. thank you. I love the journey.

the pic of the Vietnam bridge crossing the dry river bed was great….i loved the caption that “this guy makes a killing during rainy season…..”

Jo, remember Ben Yanni? Well he and another Pelican rode their bicycles across the US of A from FL to Cali. They did it in 2 months this past Oct-Dec. Ben kept a blog going as well with a few pics and blog updates.

On the side of the road. A woman on a village lane. Women who work the beach stalls. A boy who worked a beach stall. School girls holding hands. No caption. A little girl whose father wanted a photo with James and her. She was tiny and super shy. Bikes are a common form of transport. Oblivious of me, chatting on her cell phone. Waiting for the bus.

3 generations of monkeys. Our full serve gas station stop. The laziest monkeys we have EVER seen. The gas station, 1 litre alcohol bottles filled up. These stations are everywhere on the side of the road. The monkey escaping with the hat. Guess who blinked first? Once again trying to negotiate for the release of the hat. The view from the temple, which is why people go there in the first place. The monkeys are kinda a bonus. A vendor bargaining with the monkey to try and get the sandal back. The monkey actually negotiated for better candy than he was originally offered. Monkeys in a pool.
